Flash your lashes with Ardell

Ardell false lashes application tips

*Ad | It doesn’t seem all that long ago when going “out-out” with friends wasn’t a night out without donning a pair of full volume Ardell lashes.

Nowadays, I prefer a barely-there look and Ardell natural lashes are just what’s needed for a comfortable, authentic look which is high on my list of false lash priorities.

#1 global lash brand Ardell is famed for the iconic Wispies false eyelashes – flirty and fluttery they tick all the boxes you can think of. With more than 125 vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, false lash styles available, there’s sure to be a pair everyone will love. It’s also good to know that the accompanying DUO Lash Adhesive is suitable for vegans to use.

Ardell Demi Wispies

What is the difference between Ardell Wispies, Demi Wispies and Wispies 113?

Looking at the three lash styles to compare, Wispies 113 are the longest, fullest and most dramatic of the three, offering plenty of texture for an all-out glam look, or for special occasion wear.

Wispies are a close second, albeit slightly shorter overall, but with a little extra length in the centre to really accentuate the natural curve of the eye for that wide-eyed look. Finally, Ardell’s signature Demi lash is slightly shorter and tapered towards the inner eye-corner making them perfect for everyday wear.

For those who love a natural-looking, shorter false lash Ardell Naked Lashes would be a great choice and offers a subtle cat-eye flare at the outer corner.

“Applying false lashes might seem a bit of a faff but it really doesn’t have to be”.

The elusive lash application is individual to each of us, but, if it helps, I’ll go through my own method starting with clean, dry natural eyelashes.

Here’s what else you will need:

  • Pair of regular eyelash curlers
  • Small, sharp scissors
  • Regular tweezers

Step 1. Check the lashes are the right length for your eyes, and if not, carefully trim a small amount from the outer edge.
Step 2. Curl your own eyelashes and apply a thin coat of mascara.
Step 3. Use the smallest amount of Ardell DUO Clear Lash Adhesive and run it along the top of the lash band.
Step 4. Wait a few moments for the glue to become tacky, and then place a hand-held mirror on your lap,  pick up a lash carefully with your tweezers.
Step 5. Gently place the lash into position whilst keeping your eyes looking downwards into the mirror. Use the tweezer to make any fine adjustments bringing the lash close to your natural lash line for a convincing and natural appearance.

Ardell lashes review and tips

Ardell fashion lashes review

To remove your false lashes, don’t be tempted to pull them off as you’ll risk damaging your natural lashes in doing so. (You may even find a few of your own attached to the strip); I learned that the hard way and any gaps left by missing lashes will take a while to fill out. It’s recommended to use a suitable false lash remover product to loosen them first.
