The White Edit

I love to wear white, especially now as summertime is in full bloom.

It’s flattering against a tan and reflects the heat making it cool and comfortable to wear. Personally, I don’t have huge amounts of white in my wardrobe, but I do have some key pieces which I will share with you today. If nothing else it might give you some inspiration. Among them is a cute ASOS jumpsuit, this can double as a beach cover-up but I prefer to wear it just generally on the odd occasion where the British weather will allow this kind of attire.

Of course, it wouldn’t be summer in my wardrobe without an off-shoulder top or two, or three but since we’re talking white today, unsurprisingly, I have a perfect white off the shoulder shirt style top with a cute frill at the hem.

My ultimate shopping destination is ASOS and so three of my items were purchased there.

I challenge you not to find exactly what you’re looking for on ASOS. I mean, I could shop all day, but realistically I like to buy a few new items at the start of each season just to freshen up my wardrobe, If something else catches my eye as the season continues then I treat myself. If you’re obsessed with that ‘new clothes’ smell like me, life gets slightly boring if you don’t get your fix.

Thankfully, jumpsuits are everywhere and I’ve been a bit partial to the trend this summer season, particularly the wide leg culotte variety.

This one is no exception. I love everything about it, it’s feminine and really comfortable to wear. The shirred bodice makes it flattering and form-fitting. The only downside is that It’s pure cotton so it does crease rather easily! There a several colours available in this style currently on ASOS so you might want to head over and have a look. I’ve left the shopping link at the foot of the post.

I love how the tie-up straps form a pretty bow on the shoulders with cute frilly edges. I’ll definitely be taking it with me on my summer holiday this year!

A few years ago I visited Rome, I was looking for some white jeans at the time and headed straight for Armani.

Of course, it’s not difficult to find what you’re looking for when in Rome! Alas, I’ve really only worn them a couple of times and so I decided to hack the legs off and turn them into shorts for this summer. I’m glad I did as they’ve proved very useful and I’ve worn them several times already with varying tops and sandals. They aren’t teeny tiny shorts so they have a classic look which can be dressed up or down. Some days (not many) it’s just too warm for anything other than shorts. These are a pure white denim which I love as often white denim isn’t quite white.

Another favourite of mine, my Asos off the shoulder white shirt with cute hem.

Although it’s a smarter style with the button through front I still wear it with my denims and sandals. I like to wear a more feminine style so this is perfect for me. It’s cool and comfortable to wear, occasionally the shoulders do ride up but this is pretty normal with off shoulder type tops I find. Best to apply fake tan the night before and shower off the tint in the morning before heading out dressed in white!

So those were my white summer essentials. Do you have any?

Don’t forget to keep your whites white by washing frequently with a laundry detergent especially for whites and keep the temperature at 30 degrees.

Shop ASOS for the jumpsuit (other colours available) Other items featured may be out of stock.
