The Body Shop Drops Of Sun – Honey Bronze
I featured this product back along in my Fake A Post Holiday Glow Post. I’d been lusting after it for a while, and finally decided I could no longer live without it around springtime this year. I went ahead and purchased it, along with some other TBS bargains. I started off by adding a few drops to my foundation or base product, mixing them together and applying with my fingertips. I do tend to get lazy with this kind of makeup product and now apply directly to my skin following my foundation and just blend it in. I find better coverage this way and I can always add more if I want to build a little more colour. I still have a “few drops” left in the bottle, but I’ll need to purchase this one next time I’m in TBS.
Other loveable qualities…
Non-committal, natural holiday glow. Matte, shimmer-free finish. You’ll never look orange.
The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation In Santorini Sunset 040
Being a dry-skinned gal, more often than not foundation cakes on my skin and clings to any drier areas. After chatting to the lovely assistant in my local TBS store I decided to try the Fresh Nude range. I was very pleasantly surprised and have continued to love it over the last few months. I’m almost at the end of my bottle now and plan on repurchasing. The formula blends really well and doesn’t feel drying at all. As for highlighting any dry, patchy areas, I can safely say, it doesn’t. The formula gives a good light to medium coverage which is perfect for me.
With sixteen nature-inspired shades to choose from, enhanced with English rose-water and aloe vera, the hydrating formula leaves skin feeling fresh and comfortable all day.
Other loveable qualities…
Up to 24H moisturisation. Semi-matte finish. SPF 15. Suitable for sensitive skin.
Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes Limited Edition Mascara
I was wowed by the limited edition mermaid themed Lights, Camera Lashes packaging. Who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle? The striking green tube takes on a fish scale appearance hence the mermaid theme and has remained pristine. With the gold lettering also staying true, the packaging as a whole has weathered very well.
A cult classic for over a decade this mascara is definitely worth its salt.
Recently, I decided to move away from my most re-purchased Bourjois Volume Glamour mascara, and choose a more ethical approach to my makeup and skincare products. After spotting this particular mascara and reading countless rave reviews I eventually purchased it from QVC and bought two for the price of one (give or take a few pence) whilst it was on offer.
Lights, Camera Lashes is vegan-friendly and described as a “push up bra” for your lashes.
I’ll whole-heartedly agree with that claim. My lashes stay up all day and on through the evening. There’s no flaking or dropping whatsoever and I can’t actually find anything to complain about. Lashes stay pliable and even with three coats, there’s no clumping in sight.
Other loveable qualities…
Safe for contact lens wearers. +330% increase in lash volume. Ophthalmologist tested. Dermatologist tested and fragrance-free.
I passed the spare on to my teenage daughter and we both fell In love with it.
I have to say, after trying many mascaras from all price points Lights Camera Lashes comes out on top. The formula is perfect for maintaining the curl and there’s no flaking or dropping and it lasts right through until it’s removed (effortlessly). A mid-range £21 it’s a little more than I would normally fork out for a product with a three-month lifespan. However, I don’t think I can go back now.
w7 Very Vegan Matte Bronzer In Sunkissed
I stumbled upon this whilst rummaging through the makeup bargains in TKMaxx early this year. I wasn’t actually aware of w7 until I saw this bronzer and thought I’d give it a whirl. w7 launched its Very Vegan range in June 2017 and with blushers, bronzers and highlighters (to name but a few) up for grabs you’re sure to find something to love. For a drugstore bronzer, it does the job – so much so that I’ve since repurchased, in fact, this is my third. A warm golden shade which would suit most paler skin tones and a matte formula with no sparkle at all, It has a good colour payoff and for the price. It’s well pigmented so load up a chunky brush and away you go.
Other loveable qualities…
Fully certified by the vegan society. Highly pigmented for a deep tan effect. Drugstore price £8.99 (or £3.99 in TKMaxx, or similar outlet).
I like to use a bronzer to add a quick bit of colour to bare ankles, arms and hands in-between tanning and for a natural, golden glow. How about you? I love getting to the end of a product!
I’ve never tried any of these products before. The Body Shop foundation sounds great and I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Tarte mascaras x

I am too. It ticks all the boxes for me. Glad to hear you love it too! x
I have never tried any of the products you have mentioned. That Tarte mascara has been tempting me always but I don’t like spending much on high end mascaras. The L’Oreal lash paradise is my current fav. Your pictures make an empty compact look so pretty. 🙂

I agree, high-end mascaras are a bit pricey! To be honest I only bought this one because it was literally two for one on QVC. Trouble is I’m hooked now! x
I have never heard of most of these products and I think I might try the bronzer and the mascara. Thank you for sharing!
