Subscription boxes are perfect if you love discovering new brands and keeping all your skincare and wellness needs topped up. If you’re conscious of what goes into your products, choose a natural beauty box and you’ll have new, niche, and artisan brands delivered to your door in one box.
Natural Wellness Bi-Monthly Box was founded by Catherine in January 2018. A mother of two, with a passion for subscription boxes and all things natural…
Catherine’s Natural Wellness Box is for those who would like to discover natural, chemical-free beauty, health and wellness alternatives all in one subscription box, without having to subscribe to a number of different boxes.
I have the September “Balanced” box so let’s see what’s inside…
Celtic Herbal Calm Candle 100% natural soy wax infused with essential oil £5.50
With Christmas fast approaching, it’s all too tempting to dash out and stock up on seasonal and Christmas scented candles, but please know that the majority of these scented candles are highly toxic and paraffin-based. Nasty, synthetic ingredients and fragrance are harmful to our long, and short-term health, (and that of our pets). Thankfully, there are healthy non-toxic alternatives available for the more discerning candle connoisseur…
“When it comes to burning candles and/or tea lights, I’m fussy”.
If I’m completely honest, my candle of choice is made from 100% pure beeswax. I love to burn beeswax tea lights around my home, particularly for the air cleaning qualities and the subtle honey scent. However, natural soy is another safe alternative. This Celtic Herbal soy candle, infused with lavender essential oil is just so cute and quirky in its own pot. It comes complete with a screw-top lid to keep it clean and dust-free between uses.
Light it, and relax in the bath whilst the lavender essential oil calms body and mind.
Potion London – “Eat Your Greens” Super Greens Food Supplement £24
I’ve long since realised the importance, and indeed, the benefit of topping up my diet with a food supplement. I tend to choose a hair, skin and nail specific formula. However, Potion London Eat Your Greens is new to me. I’ve not tied anything like this before so I was pleased to find a large bottle of 60 capsules in the box. Packed full of beauty-boosting antiviral and anti-ageing antioxidant superfoods.
I’m pretty sure we could all do with topping up our “greens” intake. Taking a daily supplement ensures you’re getting all the nutrients required for optimum health. The capsules are easy to swallow and contain Spirulina, barley grass, wheatgrass, spinach, kale and beetroot. Suitable for vegetarians.
Not a bad price for a two-month supply!
Aduna Relaxing Super Tea £4.99
What a treat for the taste buds. Literally Christmas in a cup. For me, one whiff of this Aduna cacao tea and my senses are filled with a spicy, cinnamon scent and taste. A warming embrace of chocolatey cacao, crushed cinnamon and cardamom. Sit back, revel in the delicious aroma and allow the ancient soothing power of African cacao to calm your mind and lift your spirits. I can confirm, it’s delicious!
Brew up a pot full and give friends or family something a little different to drink on a cold winter’s day. Or, keep it all for yourself.
Skin and Tonic London – Calm Balm £15
I love the branding of this balm. Described as a dreamy, creamy balm made from a blend of natural butters and oils, including nourishing Shea buttered Calendula. Can be used to target dry or rough areas, such as elbows and knees. Alternatively, use it as part of your wellness routine – apply to the inner wrists and temples and breath deeply to calm your mood. If you’re a yoga buff, Calm Balm is the perfect partner to help you relax during your routine.
On first sight, I thought this was a lip balm but it’s much more than that. A wellness product with a multitude of uses.
Squirrel Sisters Gluten-free, raw vegan energy bar £1.60
Developed by sisters Gracie and Sophie, on a mission to help people make better and healthier choices, more often. Packed with raw 100% natural goodness, enjoy Squirrel Sisters Coconut Cashew bar anytime, it’ll keep you sustained all day.
I’m not usually one to buy this kind of energy bar – I don’t suffer from gluten intolerance so it’s not something I’d usually look to buy… However, You don’t need to be gluten intolerant to enjoy it. There are two separate bars in the packet so you can save one for later. I found it a tasty treat, but then I love anything involving coconut.
Juno Luxury Skincare Bath and Body Oil £25
Described as a sensual bath and body oil with cold-pressed oils of almond, frankincense, geranium, patchouli and rose to name but a few. A totally luxurious experience enhanced with intoxicating neroli. Lifts the spirits and relaxes the body.
Oils will always have a place in my home, albeit getting a massage is a little more tricky!
That said, add a few drops of this fragrant oil to a warm bath and you’ll forget all about that massage. The oil is a gorgeous amber colour and has a wonderfully uplifting scent.
Finally, CHOBS Rice Bran Face Mask UK £4.20
This isn’t a brand I’ve heard of before and actually, this is my first Korean Beauty sheet mask. CHOBS is an acronym for “charm and Health Organic Beauty Store”. Their masks are made from Tencel which is sourced from wood, through an ethical and environmentally friendly process. Tencel sheeting fits the facial contours perfectly, allowing every nook and cranny the benefit of the natural, skin-loving properties.
I’ve been getting into face masks more and more so I was pleased to find one in my Wellness box. Sheet masks have become so popular recently, possibly because of their soothing qualities. It’s so lovely to lay a cool sheet mask over your face, lie back and relax. Or, simply get on with your day while it goes to work.
Overall, I’m delighted with this box, the value is outstanding and there isn’t one single product going to waste. A perfectly fitting box for Self-Care September.
Natural Wellness subscriptions available are:
Bi-Monthly £35
One-Off £37
6 or 12-month prepay. £100 and £200 respectively.
I’ve totted up the cost of the products in my box and it comes to a total value of £80.29. Not to be sniffed at, that’s a huge saving of £43.29 for a one-off box.
