Using a good quality hand cream is a must.
When Studio Botanic reached out to me with a beauty product perfectly fitting for The Beauty Spyglass, I couldn’t resist. A botanical hand cream blended with avocado oil and vegan waxes for intense hydration and protection. Citrus extracts fight bacteria and maintain the skin’s correct pH to deliver perfectly hydrated, mildly scented skin.
Taking good care of your hands is paramount, particularly during the colder months, but If you’re anything like me, having residue left on the hands certainly doesn’t encourage the use hand cream. Often, everyday tasks can be made difficult or frustrating with greasy hands and It’s not always easy to find a balance. My usual preference is to apply a good layer at bedtime, giving my hands the benefit of an overnight treatment instead.
Studio Botanic hand cream is different…
It’s so refreshing to apply a hydrating cream which fully absorbs within seconds. From experience, this type of super nourishing cream can take a while to absorb but with Studio Botanic Cream my hands feel silky soft, hydrated and completely free of any residue.
I regularly suffer from chapped hands when the weather turns, and so using a product which I can integrate into my daily life has been invaluable. It’s a good size to pop into my handbag for on-the-go applications too. Applying hand cream more frequently has really helped improve the general condition of my hands, as well as my cuticles which tend to become dry if I’m not careful.
Mandarin and peppermint oils help to regulate the skin’s pH and give a subtle scent which dissipates after a few minutes.
In terms of the packaging – it’s minimal, yet effective, with a unisex appeal. The 50ml tube is made from metal, as opposed to plastic, allowing for you to fold the end over as you progress through the cream to ensure none is wasted.
It’s recommended to apply a hazelnut-sized amount (about 1ml) to the backs of clean hands and rub together. Continue to distribute the cream over the entire hands and wrists. Massage into nails and cuticles and use as often as required throughout the day.
Studio Botanic claim its product packaging symbolises the combination of traditional and modern aspects, of nature and technology.
“A perfect mix of protection and care, without being greasy”
German-based Studio Botanic Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand, formulating its products without the use of mineral oils, parabens, animal derivatives and unnecessary colourings. With such a wonderful ethos, I’m very impressed with both the product and the ethics of this brand. Particularly the use of local, social and environmentally friendly production and pure plant-based ingredients producing a cream which really delivers.
Products created in harmony with people, animals and nature is so appealing to me being a lover of conscious beauty.
More recently, the latest Studio Botanic product launched to the UK market is a botanical hand soap – why not try the new perfect partner to your hand cream in a substantial 500ml size bottle.
Treat your hands to a luxury cleanse with all new Studio Botanic liquid Hand Soap. Don’t just wash your hands, nourish and care for them at the same time. Many liquid hand washes can be harsh on our skin with a drying, detergent-based formula to literally cleanse and not a lot else. SB Hand Soap is mild and gentle making it a perfect choice for those with sensitive skin.
We wash our hands many times a day without much thought to the ingredients in our chosen products but with new SB Hand Soap, you can be safe in the knowledge you’re caring for your hands every time you wash them. Ingredients include a unique blend of witch hazel leaf extract to heel, nourish and counteract dryness, whilst anti-inflammatory properties soothe and calm the skin.
Vegan glycerine binds to the skin to maintain moisture balance throughout the day and natural cleansing properties rich in essential fatty acids, skin-loving vitamins and minerals keep your hands soft and supple, no matter how often you wash them.
Mildly fragranced with natural lemongrass oil to refresh and revitalise the skin.
Studio Botanic claims its special formulation leaves less residue in the washbasin than conventional liquid soaps. The lather is definitely light and soft with no trouble rinsing it clean away. My hands are left with a mild, botanical scent after use. In terms of packaging, the bottle has a twist-lock dispenser for convenience and looks quite striking sitting at the washbasin.
With a price point of £28.95, it definitely sits in the luxury category and would make the ideal gift for a conscious beauty lover.
