“Facial oils are an essential step in your routine”.
How do you feel about facial oils? If you’re anything like me, you’ll already know the benefits but of course, not all oils perform in the same way. Occasionally, I come across one which actually makes my skin feel drier, but as a general rule, the benefit of using facial oils is unsurpassed. Regularly featured on The Beauty Spyglass as a favourite product of mine, I love to massage oils into my skin and really get the circulation going for a glowing complexion.
Some oils are clinically proven, others are just for maintenance purposes without any scientific backing. Skin Doctors Power Oil claims to defy your age in just 7 days.
Skin Doctors Age Defying Power Oil is newly launched and is different. A powerful cocktail of 15 natural oils for advanced skin DNA regeneration and specifically chosen for their skin-loving properties. Omega 3, 6 and 9, along with key vitamins A, C, D and E plus, essential fatty acids and antioxidants provide a potent mix…
“The building blocks for youthful, healthy-looking skin”
Award-winning Australian brand Skin Doctors claim clinical tests reveal an improvement to the skin’s look and feel in just seven days.
Actively encouraging you to take up the challenge, they recommended using Power Oil before your usual skincare products, morning and night. Promising to create a pathway for the actives to travel deep into the skin layers, hydrating the deepest skin cells. Power Oil comes boxed and housed in a glass bottle with a pipette dropper. You’ll need just five drops for best results squeeze into the palm of your hand and warm the oil by rubbing the hands together. Press the oil into the skin, using your hands and lightly massage. Ensure the oil is evenly distributed and absorbed over the entire face, including the neck and décolletage. If you have facial scarring of any form, the oil may help improve the appearance, so be sure to concentrate on those areas.
“I decided to take up the seven-day challenge…”
Using the oil twice a day before my usual skincare and makeup products. I found massaging it well into my skin gives good absorption. However, it does take a few minutes before I feel ready to follow with my usual moisturiser. My skin feels super hydrated afterwards which is what I was hoping to find. If you’re planning on applying your makeup following use then I’d suggest allowing the oil to fully absorb first. From a starting point, my skin is generally in good condition, so individual results may vary. However, I’ve some fine lines around my eye area and the odd hormonal breakout, so, what about a visible change? Certainly, I’ve seen a general improvement in the tone and texture of my skin but I can’t honestly say I’ve noticed a remarkable change in my fine lines. Saying that, these lines form over time from repetitive movement so I’d imagine any product would be hard-pushed to improve them within seven days. I’ll continue using Power Oil for a daily boost of hydration and see how I go.
