KWho doesn’t love a retro party?! Celebrating twenty-three years, Deborah Mitchell’s renowned celebrity skincare brand Heaven, is bringing back some old favourites for this fabulous limited edition retro party collection.
You’ll have everything you need from cleanser to tinted moisturiser and there’s even something for the men. If you’re not familiar with Heaven skincare you can find out more about this favourite brand of mine plus, read about other products I’ve tried from Heaven’s Skincare range, including Deborah’s iconic Bee Peel mask.
The eye-catching Peppermint Clarifying lotion is a treatment toner that normalises oil secretions, refines pores and balances pH
Suited to all skin types but particularly sensitive, oily or acne-prone skins. You’ll have plenty to last you with this 150ml pump dispenser bottle. Peppermint is known for its clarifying properties, so it’s especially useful for helping to relieve oily skins. My skin is on the dry side but I’ve found that a quick refresh using this clarifying lotion gets rid of any cleanser residue and revitalises my skin. If you love a minty scent then this one’s for you.
Equally eye-popping is the chamomile desensitising lotion which promises to normalise sensitive skin with its anti-inflammatory properties. Can be used as a cleanser alone, or simply as a toner. Infused with calming chamomile, the scent is warming and botanical. These lotions are so refreshing to use, especially during the unusually warm weather we’ve been experiencing in the UK. Definitely, a worthy addition to any skincare routine.
Tinted moisturiser is one of those invaluable products for days where you just want to even the skin tone without a full base. Silk Skin fits the bill – sitting firmly between a foundation and a regular tinted moisturiser, for me. The consistency is a little thicker, almost mousse-like yielding slightly more coverage than you might expect. Mine is in shade Winter caramel which would suit most light to medium skin tones.
It’s a really good-sized bottle which is a welcome change from the usual smaller tube we’ve come to expect from a base product. My skin feels silky smooth and even-toned. Perfect for teens too, or those just getting into makeup – it won’t overload their delicate skin with harsh or unnecessary ingredients. My thirteen-year-old daughter loves it!
As with the entire Heaven range, Deborah’s all organic, natural approach shines through and is particularly appealing if you’re a green beauty enthusiast like myself.
Another product I can’t be without is eye makeup remover and I certainly get through plenty of it. I wear lots of mascara so I need to have a good remover on the go. Again, Heaven’s Eye Bright is a good size, unscented and is a little different in that it’s recommended to apply the lotion over the eye area and rinse with warm water. Massage into the skin with circular movements but don’t stop with the eyes, you can use Eye Bright over the entire face. The milky consistency makes for a great daily use product and is perfect for soothing sensitised skin.
An unparalleled anti-inflammatory helps control bags and tiredness around the eyes, thanks to the addition of Echinacea.
Effortlessly lifts off eye makeup, regenerates the skin around the eyes and improves eyelash growth. Apply to the eye area and massage in a circular motion to melt away makeup, you’ll then rinse with warm water which is a little different. For stubborn eye makeup, leave on a little longer before rinsing. particularly suited to a drier or mature skin.
Also, Included in the Retro Party collection is a selection of mini sized products. These are so useful for travel, but also to try before you buy
An eye cream which hydrates and penetrates fine lines and wrinkles, eliminating bags and puffiness. Perfect for those mornings where darker circles are more visible. Heavenly Eyes is a mini size for the Retro Party but is available in a larger size. with a pump dispenser – if you find you can’t live without it!
Hyaluronic acid and vitamin A work in tandem to make eyes appear brighter and reduce any puffiness.
I found Eye Bright works well for its purpose, and is also great for all over use when time is of the essence. My skin is left feeling soft and fresh.
I love to use eye-specific creams and whilst I prefer to use a gel formula for morning use, at bedtime I want something a little more hydrating. Heavenly Eyes is nourishing and on waking my skin feels soft without any heaviness.
Heaven’s Divine Cream is infused with organic mandarin and orange delivering a natural source of vitamin C, increasing collagen and elastin in the skin. Not surprisingly, this cream has a mild zesty scent and is one of those great all-rounder products, perfect for everyday use.
Cooling Eye Smoother Gel delivers anti-inflammatory properties to the eye area, reducing any puffiness or irritation. As with any gel formulation eye product it feels cooling on the skin. I pat a small amount around and under my eyes to really wake them up first thing in the mornings.
Let’s not forget the men in our lives…
Any male grooming products which come my way get passed to my husband Dan. He’s also a fan on Heaven Skincare and has previously tried some of the other Men’s products. However, he isn’t religious about a good skincare routine but rather dips in and out when needed. He’s enjoyed using these two and found good hydration levels.
Included in the collection are a mini or travel sized His Heaven O2 cream and a larger sized moisturiser “4 Men”
These Retro Party products have been revived for a short time only so hurry over to Heaven Skincare and have a browse. Did you know there are other skin kits available from Heaven? Find out what I thought of the Bee Calm Kit.
