Amour Noir Magnetic Face Mask

There are certainly some weird and wonderful face masks around at the moment, but this Amour Noir Magnetic Face Mask has to be the strangest and yet the most innovative I’ve ever tried. The mask comes with its own storage box, an application spatula and the magnetic removal tool. Amour Noir is a luxury beauty brand and has that high-end feel. Popular with celebrities including Katie Price and Megan McKenna who’ve tried it and loved it.

To Use, apply a thin layer using the spatula, wait five-fifteen minutes then remove it by hovering the magnet over the face. It’s recommended to use a tissue to cover the magnet but personally, I found it much more effective using it without. The theory being that by using the magnetic current to remove the product it helps to draw out impurities from the skin.

This kind of mask may be seen by some as “gimmicky” and I’m inclined to agree – Somewhat. However, don’t be deceived, it works well and the magnet is actually really strong, I placed it near my tweezers and found them clinging to it with quite a wrench needed to separate them.

It’s no surprise the mask contains iron powder which attracts to the magnet and when held close to your face you can really feel the magnetic pull on your skin letting you know it’s working. The first time I used the mask I over-applied it and spent a fair while trying to remove it, but after that, I’ve applied a thin layer and this was more manageable. Once removed, massage the remainder into your skin as you’ll want to get the benefit of the Dead Sea minerals and essential oils. The ingredients are designed to nourish and detoxify skin cells, improving circulation to leave a smooth, glowing complexion.

It’s quite an oily constancy so if you want to rinse off any residue, you’ll need to use a cleanser to fully remove it rather than just a splash of water, I found a micellar water best. My skin definitely felt hydrated and smooth after use but I didn’t really notice anything overwhelming in terms of a change in my skin’s appearance overall. If you’re a fan of quirky face masks and looking for something a little different to try this one is a great place to start and is currently reduced from £29.99 to £19.99. So don’t miss out! Amour Noir is a cruelty free brand.

I’ve got more interesting Amour Noir products to tell you about so look out for my reviews.

Janna Eye And Neck Targeted Renewal Masks

I must admit, this was my first experience with a targeted sheet mask, I was lucky enough to win both Eye and Neck Renewal masks in Janna’s Mother’s Day Instagram giveaway so I thought I’d give them a try. The packaging and branding are gorgeous, and definitely give off a luxe vibe which I love. Janna formulate their inexpensive masks from a fibre known as Tencel which is renowned for its outstanding absorption and transportation properties, it also contours to the skin making it perfect for a sheet style mask. Only natural, organic ingredients and a paraben-free formulation are used throughout the Janna range.

To use –  carefully remove the mask from the packet and peel away the backing. There’s a lot of fluid with these masks, 20ml to be precise for the neck and 6ml for the eye patches so there’s no expense spared there. Both felt really cooling and soothing and left my skin super hydrated. I found applying the mask to my neck a little tricky due to it being so wet but I got there eventually. The neck mask promises to reduce lines and visibly smooth the skin.

In terms of a change in my skin’s appearance, I didn’t notice a huge difference with just the one application but hydration was good. With extended use, results may vary.

The Eye Renewal patches felt lovely and soothing to wear. Again, peel off the backing and smooth on over the eye area. Leave on for twenty minutes, remove, then pat the remaining essence gently into the skin. My skin felt fresher and brighter afterwards.

Samantha, at the bottom of your blog it lists the numbers for your (instagram, twitter etc followers). I love that. Is that a widget or do you have the html code? I would love to add it to the bottom of my blog. If so, could you send it to averysweetblog@gmail.com
      Thanks,

Oh. It’s integral to my theme, you could try looking through your theme customiser, otherwise as your theme is also with Pipdig you could contact them and ask the question. I know they take a while to respond but it might just be something they can add on. Sorry I can’t be more help, it’s always just been there if that makes sense! x

The magnet sounds so interesting! One of the reasons I sometimes don’t do facemasks is because I’m too lazy to wash them off so this would work out well for me 😂 I’ve never used an eye mask before and I’m so keen to, the Janna one sounds great! My favourite face mask at the moment is the L’Oréal detox clay one, it’s so fab! Clare xx | https://www.clayaa.com

I’ve not tried any of the L’Oréal face masks, I never really used to be into them, same reason as you, they’re a bit of an effort! Thanks for stopping by hun x
