Lashes To Envy With Ardell

A few years ago, a night out with the girls wasn’t a night out unless I woke up with a strip lash stuck to my pillow the following morning. I once mistook one for a spider through a bleary eye and leapt out of bed quicker than I otherwise would’ve, whilst nursing a hangover. These days, If I’m off out I prefer to choose a more natural looking false lash, or just add some individual lashes to enhance my own, without going overboard.

December signals party season, and no doubt faux lashes will be out in full-force. Amongst the vast array available, Ardell is the brand that stands out for me, their extensive range includes more than 125 styles, meaning there’s something for everyone. Ardell lashes are made from 100% sterilised human hair, hand knotted and feathered.

Ardell Accents 318

Ardell Accent Enhance the density along the outer edge of the lashline for a prettier look with half lashes. Choose from a collection of Ardell Accents featuring half lashes to fit your eyes and mood.

These are perfect for that “cat eye” look and just add a little more density to the outer corners. They’re really easy to apply and since I don’t have a lash applicator I use my tweezers quite happily. The Accent lashes are my favourite of the three I have here.

Demi Wispies

I often find, the majority of false lashes are just too long to be convincing, (unless of course, that’s your look). Demi Wispies are borderline in terms of length for me, but I’d happily wear these for a night out.

Ardell say their Natural Lashes are popular because women love that they’re lightweight, reusable, easy-to-apply and give the desired, natural look of full, beautiful lashes.

Having tried both the Natural and the Demi wispies the difference isn’t huge, but my preference would be the Wispies, possibly because they are a little more fluttery looking and give more density than the naturals.

Sure, we all have our own method for applying false lashes but I always curl my own, apply a coat of mascara then add in the false lashes, finishing with another light coat of mascara to blend them.

Glue

The lashes I’ve tried here don’t include glue. My preference is latex free Lash Grip. This comes in a clear or dark formula. I’ve used this for years and always have some in my makeup bag just in case.
