Who wouldn’t love to envelop their skin in a luxury, deliciously scented body butter, reminiscent of a Thai Spa experience? I would. The words “body butter” make me want to scoop out a good dollop, massage it into my skin and then wrap myself up a warm dressing gown. It just feels so luxurious and gives me that sense of well-being.

As soon as I received this glorious, gem-stone green pot, I twisted off the ornate lid and tried it on the back of my hand, immediately I was smitten. The earthy mix of Thai lime and ginger is heavenly and fills your senses.
With any skincare which is new to me, I like to try it for around four weeks so that I can give my honest opinion. I’ve been using it after my shower and applying it liberally all over. The consistency is a little lighter than you might expect for a body butter, but it applies well and absorbs fairly quickly. My skin is left smooth and with a lingering exotic fragrance. In terms of improvement to my skins elasticity, I noticed a slight firming with continued use – albeit short-lived but for me, Smoothness was the more noticeable result.
I found myself further applying it to my hands throughout the day, just to take in the wonderful aroma. It’s just so pleasurable to use and I have to say – a little addictive. At £26 for 250 ml, It’s more than I would generally pay for a body butter, but for an occasional luxury treat, I may be tempted to indulge.
There’s really nothing not to like about this body butter, or in fact, Janjira as a brand. The gorgeous packaging makes it perfect for gifting too, Why not treat someone you love this Christmas time. To purchase, or to have a look at the other ranges available – visit Janjira.co.uk
