Not Weathering Well? XO Balm Will Soothe You

XO Balm

If you’re looking for a multi-purpose balm to keep in your handbag or pocket then look no further.

I’ve been following XO Balm on social media for a while now, so when founder, Charlotte offered to send me my very own to review, I was so pleased. I’m a big fan of multi-purpose balms as they’re one of those products which I can’t live without, particularly at this time of year when my hands and lips chap so easily. keeping my XO Balm nearby has been my skin saviour over the last few weeks.

XO Balm claims their multi-purpose 100% natural beauty solution balm is an effective combination of beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil and chia seed oil which locks in essential nutrients to nourish, restore and strengthen the skin, hair and nails.

Soothes and relieves dryness, sensitive and irritated skin. This multifunctional beauty solution is used for all areas of the face, body and hair to hydrate and nourish.

XO Balm offers a natural alternative to prescription products for those suffering from severely dry skin, eczema and dermatitis. The natural beauty solution also has many other uses, making it an ideal on-the-go essential.

The effective combination of simply four, 100% natural ingredients; beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil and chia seed oil, locks in essential nutrients to soothe, restore and strengthen.

The balm texture instantly hydrates and soothes, leaving a protective barrier with a matte finish. XO Balm is fragrance and preservative-free making it suitable for sensitive skins. Beautifully nourishing and hydrating, a little goes a long way!

XO balm with mirrored lid and spatula

Multi-tasker products are always a must-have for me, but XO Balm sets itself apart from the rest.

From the well thought of and quirky button-styled tin featuring a mirrored lid to the little scoop included – allowing the product to remain as germ-free as possible. Perfect, If like me, you don’t weather well or suffer from chapped lips at the merest breath of autumnal air. Natural emollients help to soothe and soften your wind-lashed skin.

With its firm consistency, XO Balm has so many other uses, my favourites are massaging it into my cuticles and smoothing it over my lips at bedtime. Its rich, emollient formula stays put for longer than your average lip balm and remains on my lips throughout the night. Also, If I’m washing my hair the following morning I’ve been softening a little of the balm and rubbing it into the ends of my hair for an overnight treat. Unruly eyebrows? XO Balm will bring them under control, simply apply a tiny amount of the softened balm to a clean spoolie and comb through.

Protecting Little Noses

When my daughter was a toddler, we loved winter walks – enjoying the changing hedgerows and collecting fallen leaves and acorns as we wandered along, but of course, the elements can be harsh on delicate little noses and cheeks. To protect her skin I would apply a little natural chapstick across the vulnerable areas of her face. XO Balm would be a lovely alternative if you enjoy wintry walks with your little ones.

The Branding…

Is clever, and although not obvious, the X and the O are there – hiding in the cross stitch effect of the button lid. (At least, that’s how I see it). The smart grey tin and matte finish balm offer a unisex appeal and would make a great little gift for the man in your life!

Incidentally, if you were wondering how the brand name XO Balm came about, it was created by the contraction of “exo” – outside of the body and “xoxo” – hugs and kisses, together with Roman numerals X(10)0 = 100 uses. I do love a name with a thought process behind it.

It’s worth paying a few extra pounds for a wonderful quality balm – my 45ml tin retails for £12.50 and keeps for twelve months once opened.
