Have you ever considered what’s in your Haircare or choosing a natural, organic alternative?
If I’m honest, it’s not something I really have. I tend to prefer salon brands, targeting my specific hair concerns. I’ll also, occasionally throw in a drugstore top-up here and there. Recently, I was contacted by Herbatint and kindly asked if I would like to try some of their haircare products. I was offered a selection to choose from but immediately I was drawn to the Organic-Bio Moringa extract range. Using organic haircare is something new for me, and so I thought It would be interesting to try.
Moringa Repair Shampoo
Herbatint claim: Their Moringa Repair Shampoo, with 99.8% ingredients of natural origin, is a new organic certified haircare product dedicated to coloured hair. Gently cleans and revives hair’s natural shine, while restoring the fibres of dry damaged hair and protecting the scalp. Dermatologically tested, allergen free, no parabens, no silicones, no SLS.
The Moringa Repair Shampoo, indicated for a daily use, is specially formulated for dry damaged or stressed hair, frequently exposed to perms or colour treatments. Thanks to the Moringa Oleifera, also known as Miracle Tree for its many health and nutritional benefits, it provides a high concentration of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and proteins. Its seeds, primary source of oil and proteins, restore the hair with an intense repairing and anti-ageing action and protect it from UV and pollution. The regular use and combination of Moringa Repair Shampoo and Moringa Repair Conditioner guarantees an optimal result.
I wanted to give my honest review and so I’ve been using these for at least four weeks. The packaging has a quality feel and look, with a flip-up lid which isn’t commonly seen. Both the shampoo and conditioner bottles are very similar at a glance, and so the lids being different shades of green helps decipher which is which.
As expected, The scent is herbal – almost medicated and the Moringa oil comes through quite strongly for me. I’m familiar with the Moringa scent as I’ve used skincare products enriched with the oil before. I quite like the natural, botanical fragrance so I wasn’t put off by it. If you prefer a more fragrant scent to your haircare this may not be for you. The shampoo lathered well and rinsed easily. I always like to shampoo twice and this left my hair really clean.
Moringa Repair Conditioner

A mix of Moringa, Aloe vera, Rosemary, Wheat and Olive extracts allows many health and nutritional benefits and provides a high concentration of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and proteins. Deeply nourishes, revitalizes and adds body and softness to the hair, helping to restore the natural balance.
The conditioner, however, I wasn’t quite so impressed with, I realise taming my long highlighted hair is a task in itself to be fair.
I just didn’t get the instant softening which tells me the cuticles are being smoothed. I always use my tangle teezer brush in the shower to comb conditioner through and It did take a little longer to do so. Once I’d rinsed my hair it was still tangled unfortunately but on a positive note, if you have more manageable hair which is less prone to shower-tangles you might find lovely results with this conditioner.
After blow-drying my hair, there was some shine and plenty of movement which was lovely. The Moringa scent lingered throughout the day too.
I really like the natural, organic properties of Herbatint and to use a product range which doesn’t contain parabens or silicones is quite unusual these days. If you’re looking for some natural Haircare to try for a change, Herbatint is a great place to start.
