The inspirational story and brand ethos just have to be shared so firstly, here’s a little about Malée and what they have to say about their conditioning body cream.
Inspired By Africa
Inspired by the rich landscapes, alluring scents and ancient wisdom of Africa, our luxurious fragrance and body care range balances 100% natural active ingredients and scientifically proven formulas to heal, protect and pamper your skin.
Feel radiant every day with our intensely moisturising body cream that nourishes, soothes, smoothes and repairs your skin. Scientifically formulated with the rich moisture of a butter and lightness of a lotion, this non-greasy body cream is the perfect way to revitalise dry, dull skin and give you a supple, youthful glow from top to toe.
Perfected By Science…
Our innovative product formulas are at the forefront of modern beauty science. Carefully engineered from 100% natural active ingredients selected for their vitamin-rich and antioxidant properties, each product harnesses the therapeutic power of botanicals to nourish, heal and protect your skin.
Grounded In Nature…
Our products are as kind to the environment as they are to your skin.
We use only what your skin needs and exclude unnecessary mineral oils, animal-derived ingredients, many known allergens and harmful parabens and silicones. Sustainably sourced, cruelty-free and fully recyclable.
When Malée offered to send me the conditioning body cream, I really couldn’t wait to try it. Although this is a brand I wasn’t aware of, after having looked into its story and background I was even more eager to get involved. I went straight to the Malée website and read all about the brand ethos and where it all started. If you follow me, you’ll know I particularly enjoy natural, ethically sourced products with an inspiring and intriguing history such as Malée.
I only had to wait a few days and my body cream arrived. Boxed and tied with branded ribbon which was really lovely. For me, when a product arrives thoughtfully packaged it makes such a difference to have that personal touch. The cream itself came in its own box and both box and tube have that luxe feel and look; with the inner sides of the box being colour-coordinated with the product which I really liked.
I’m always impatient with new beauty products, so straight away I tested it on the back of my hand to see the consistency but also to take in the Verdure scent which I wasn’t familiar with.
The scent is a mix of Citrus, Mint And Patchouli. I found it a little unusual at first but really uplifting and fresh. Using the cream literally lifts your senses.
As its name suggests, this is a cream as opposed to a lotion and so the consistency is thicker than you would expect from a usual body product. This is to be expected with the Shea butter content as it does tend to give that firmer texture. It feels luxurious and is so enjoyable to use. I definitely had to spend a little longer massaging it into my skin to be fully absorbed. I actually found the whole application process quite therapeutic. It just makes my skin feel alive.
In terms of moisturisation, it lasts and lasts. I have been applying it all over following my morning shower and my skin has been left feeling nourished all day. Even by bedtime my skin still felt hydrated.
Every now and then the Verdure scent would come through even hours after applying it.
I’ve been enjoying super hydrated and gorgeous scented skin whilst trying this cream and would recommend it as a treat for yourself, or with Christmas around the corner, it would make a perfect gift idea with a reasonable RRP of £20 per tube for such a luxurious product.

This sounds so great, especially the concept and story behind it. I love that you say the effects last on your skin too -I always look for that in a body cream because it’s something I am quite lazy in so something that maybe lasts for days where even if I forget to use it everyday is perfect. x

To be honest I’m lazy with it too, I use this after my shower but I would bother any other time of day. I like the way I can feel the effects all day so it’s great for us lazy types x
The packaging is so beautiful and I love the attention to detail on the box it arrived in! I tried out the perfume a few weeks ago and really loved it, it has such a unique scent but really refreshing! I imagine the body cream is just as good, I absolutely the photos you got of it! x

Such pretty packaging and love the story behind it. I quite like luxurious lotions in autumn/winter months (not so much in summer) as I need something more rich and long lasting to keep skin soft! The scent sounds gorgeous too and I totally agree it’d make a gorgeous gift ❤️❤️❤️ Xxx
