Scienea Super Fruit Serum

Scienea super fruit serum with its pretty box

You know those Instagram competitions which you never win, yes those. Well just over a month ago I entered one and won!

Uk based Scienea Beauty had already hit my radar when I first noticed their Super Fruit Serum on Instagram. When they informed me I’d won I was delighted and couldn’t wait to receive it as my prize. Before I tell you about my experience using it, I’ll share a little about Scienea and their Superfruit Serum in case you’re new to it.

A gorgeous Anti-Ageing serum to prevent and smooth wrinkles and other signs of ageing such as blemishes and age spots.

Two years of painstaking research and development have gone into the creation of this supreme serum.
Carefully selected natural ingredients are lovingly combined to give your skin the most natural anti-wrinkle treatment available today.

Packed full of over 20 ingredients provided by nature and clinically proven to visibly reduce signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. It penetrates deeply to work from within. It smooths and enhances the density and firmness of your skin and starts to work from the moment it’s applied to combat the signs of ageing and restore a youthful, fresh complexion.

The smoothing action of this natural skin lifting formula penetrates deep into the skin to give its natural defences a boost. Clinically proven to enhance skin density and firmness and to visibly reduce the wrinkled appearance of skin, including ‘crows feet’. Starts working from the first application to help fight the signs of ageing and restore a youthful complexion. Made with pure essential oils, super fruits, berries and natural extracts.

Active Ingredients

Marula Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Apricot Oil, Squalene, Rosehip Oil, Sunflower, Flax Seed Oil, Gold Of Pleasure Oil, Rasberry Oil, Pumpkin  Oil,Borage Oil, , Strawberry Oil, Acai Berry Seed Oil, Prickly Pear Oil, Spilanthes extract, Green Rooibos, Black tea extract, White Tea Extract, Rose Oil, Fennel Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Palmarosa Oil.

I’m a big fan of using natural ingredients where I can, particularly those products which avoid any nasties and smell wonderful to boot.

To be able to bring you my honest review on this serum, I’ve been using it at bedtime for the last 28 days or so. I’m literally at the very tail end of it now, sadly. I’ve loved using it and found it so lovely to massage into my clean skin before getting into bed, taking a few seconds to take in the aroma of all those essential oils. It’s passed the hubby test with flying colours, Dan can’t help airing his opinion on my night-time skincare and whether he likes the scent or not. This one is a firm favourite.

Scienea super fruit serum

So, to start with I wouldn’t say I have wrinkles, this conjures up thoughts of skin which has been overexposed to the sun, plus a few poor lifestyle choices thrown in along the way forming deep lines. However, I’m always keen to fend off the first signs of ageing for as long as possible. My main skin concern is dehydration, my skin has always been on the drier side and I’m prone to little dry patches on my cheeks. As with any anti-ageing product, hydration is key of course so for that reason my skin has been loving this serum. I’ve been drifting off to sleep in a halo of fragrant essential oils and waking to thoroughly hydrated skin.

It was my preference to use this serum at night-time as opposed to adding it to my morning routine as I found it would be a little oily to use for daytime. However, if you have time to let it absorb, day use may well work for you. If you want to harness the power of super fruits into your skin care routine I would definitely recommend trying this serum.

You can head over to Scienea and find out more about the skin firming Super Berry serum which is rich in vitamins & antioxidants. I Was kindly sent a few little sample sachets of this, and although I found similar hydration results as with the Super Fruit serum I wasn’t quite so taken with the scent. Suitable for all skin types, my bottle is 20ml and retails for £30
