Skin Doctors | Skinactive14™

This week on my blog it’s been all about Skin Doctors. I’m new to this Australian brand but so far I’ve been really impressed with it. Today I’m looking at Skinactive14 Night Cream and the Intensive Day Cream.

I’ve been so impressed with this brand, from the cool, uncluttered, almost sporty packaging to the actual products themselves. Both come boxed and housed with a pump dispenser which makes for ease of use. The clear lid keeps the product hygienic and fresh. Both have a gorgeous, subtle yet distinctive scent, not perfumed as such but just a lovely ‘beauty product’ smell if that makes sense! So much so, that even Dan commented on how nice my face smelled after I applied the night cream for the first time…For a man to notice it must be something special! These night and day creams are deemed to target 14 universal problems associated with ageing so they certainly have a lot to live up to!

The creams are white, feel comforting to apply and are absorbed fairly quickly. I have dehydrated skin (no secret) and so both of these formulas have worked well for me as both are recommended for dry/dehydrated skins. Although I am no longer in my 20’s I’m lucky enough to have avoided any ‘wrinkles’ so far, in part due to genetics but I also believe a good skincare routine plays a big part and using good quality products is key. I do however, have a few fine lines here and there which are inevitable. My skin is a little fragile and can be prone to dry patchy areas, so In terms of any change to my skin I have definitely seen improvement to smoothness and also the hydration levels. My skin feels nourished and soft and any tightness soothed away.

At night our skin is so busy repairing and regenerating cells that using a night- time specific moisturiser is crucial. With this in mind, I was eager to try Skinactive14 as I love the idea of a matching day and night specific creams. These two didn’t let me down and are such a great combination.

I am generally an advocate of using oils, particular at night but I do like to mix it up a little and bring different products into my skincare routine. Our skin can become lazy if we continue to use one product in the long term, sometimes swapping to a new product can really revitalise the skin and give it the wake up call it needs to get that healthy glow back again! Skinactive14 are both creams which I would definitely repurchase myself. I love the way they make my skin feel, they smell gorgeous and in terms of what you might expect from an anti-ageing moisturiser they really do tick all the boxes. If, like me you have a dryer skin and are concerned with the first signs of ageing then these come highly recommended by me. Earlier in the week I reviewed  Skin Doctors Beelift cream, If you would like to find out more about that have a read of my Beelift post, or why not head over to Skin Doctors and have a look at the whole range.

This sounds like a great brand and I love how they combat a number of beauty problems. I need to use more oils and am normally put off by the smell, therefore the fact your partner liked the smell of these products is a plus! I’ve been conscious of upping my beauty regime since I entered my 30s so will check these out!
    Thanks for sharing,

Thank you so much for reading! I know what you mean about the smell of some oils, particularly Argan oil. That’s a fave of mine but smells unpleasant. Yes, my husband likes the smell and he doesn’t usually comment! We have to go for more anti aging products now don’t we!
Have a look at these two if you can. I love them! Xx

These both sound like gorgeous creams. I have oilier skin but still dehydrated so I love multi targeting creams like these. As for oils…my skin has been so much less oilier now I use oils in my skincare routine! Lovely post xx

It’s a shame we have different skin types, would be much more useful! Multi targeting creams are so good. I really got on well with these and the Beelift. Thanks for reading lovely 😘🙌

Hi lovely, sorry for the delay in replying. I just found your comment in the spam folder, not sure why it was picked up. Anyway, yes definitely for 30 plus and beyond. It’s a fab, all round anti-ageing product! Both are lovely creams. Thanks for reading! Xx
