Skindoctors beelift be venom skincare

Bee venom… Have you heard the buzz?

I have, and I’ve seen products containing this ingredient (also known as melittin) but, as always with the good stuff comes the higher price tag of course. To be honest, the price has previously put me off making a purchase, so when Skin Doctors asked if I’d like to try some of their products, including Beelift, I was really excited and so of course, I agreed.

Skin Doctors are an Australian brand and unlike traditional skincare brands, Skin Doctors cosmeceuticals is a problem-solution brand.

They are industry leaders in the development of breakthrough, clinical strength cosmeceuticals that offer consumers topical alternatives to surgery. Skin Doctors products are based on cutting-edge formulations developed in conjunction with leading research institutes and skin specialists, utilising the latest in skincare actives and formulations, with a solution for skincare problems.

Skindoctors Beelift

Beelift helps fight premature ageing ensuring that your skin is nourished, renewed and revitalised. Beelift contains the Bee Venom (Melittin), Manuka Honey, the collagen treatment Trylagen® and Hyadisine® – a complex mix of peptides, amino acids, proteins and key enzymes. Together these ingredients trick the skin into thinking it has been lightly stung, instantly working to control facial muscles for cumulative tightening, lifting, plumping and firming of the skin.
Beelift is clinically proven to:

Increase Collagen by up to 300%
Cumulative skin tightening
Plumping and firming of the skin

I was eager to find out for myself exactly what a product containing bee venom could actually do for my skin.

It’s an interesting concept that the venom, together with other potent ingredients can potentially control the facial muscles in the short-term; giving firmer and tighter skin. It’s for this reason these products are touted as nature’s Botox.

Beelift comes boxed and housed in a glass jar with a screw top lid. For hygiene reasons, you may want to use a cotton bud to scoop out the product as opposed to repeatedly dipping your fingertips in.

The cream itself smells delicious, if you like honey, this has a rather intense honey scent which you’ll love. It’s lightweight, smooths on well, and after a minute or two has a mild cooling sensation which tells me it’s doing something good. This soon subsides. I found the cream takes a little longer to absorb than others I’ve tried, but this doesn’t really bother me. My skin is left feeling a little tighter, I didn’t find the effects were long-lasting, however, I do really like this cream and I have found that there has been some general improvement to my skin whilst using it.

Due to the firming and tightening expectations of the cream I’ve used it in the mornings under my makeup. I have found it fairly sufficient as a base product.

As with any skincare or anti-ageing product, results are better seen with continual use. Based on the results I’ve seen with Beelift I would recommend trying it for yourself. Of course, we will all have different results with any beauty product but for me, this cream smells wonderful and actually feels like it’s doing something when applied. I enjoy using it and love the cooling sensation it gives.

*Beelift is not recommended for those who may be allergic to bee stings. As with any new product, patch testing is recommended.

Beelift is cruelty-free and no bees were harmed.
