Itsy Nails London | DuraPRO Gel Effect Polish

Who doesn’t love a good gel effect? ‎Itsy Nails anyone? Love love, love this brand. The story behind these gorgeous polishes is so inspiring, the beautiful shades, the quirky names… I could go on and I will, but first let’s dive straight in with the Itsy Nails story, incase, like me, you’re new to this brand.

Itsy Nails London started with a great idea and a little hard work. Dreaming of creating her own modernistic brand of nail polishes, founder and Makeup-artist Diana Taguchi got planning on a formula that doesn’t comprise quality for affordability.
Having invested considerable time and effort with developing a highly pigmented Gel effect formula with the latest professional technologies that not only provides salon quality results, but by removing potentially toxic chemicals makes Itsy Nails London 5Free from DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and Formaldehyde Resin. Are vegan friendly and cruelty Free.

Itsy polishes scattered on a blanket.

Itsy Nails London’s formulated DuraPRO Gel effect formula offers a healthier alternative to any professional Gel manicures, giving women with little time the same glossy, plumped professional finish without the need for a UV/LED lamp or soak-off to achieve a perfect home manicure. Itsy Nails London’s classic collection has vast become the-must-have fashion accessory for todays revolving women and fashionistas.

Today Itsy Nails is proud to provide vibrant, highly pigmented, long-lasting, quick-drying, Gel effect nail polishes direct to your door through an experience you’ll enjoy. And most of all, we hope you’ll love Itsy as much as we do.

Here’s what I thought

Samantha's nails painted in City girl.

When my parcel of polishes fell through my letter box I was so excited to get it open and have a look at the colours. Wrapped in white tissue paper and inside a cute little white branded gift bag. My first impression was wow! What gorgeous colours! I particularly love the ‘City Girl’ grey tone and the muted pink ‘Bohemian Gypsy’ shades. Immediately I painted a nail in each colour to try them out, see the colours properly on my nails and get a feel for the brush and Formula. Now I’ve used gel effect polish before of course but nothing like this, Itsy take it to a new level, it actually does resemble a ‘gel’ nail, literally it’s so highly pigmented that I could’ve gone with just the one coat but what the hell, let’s go for two! Three and it’s super plumped!

The bottles are chunky and tactile, the brush is a good size and shape, unlike some where the brush is just too thin, you end up having to make too many brush strokes to get the coverage. The Formula glides on, no streaking at all and self-levels on the nail to give a super smooth finish which, as Itsy describe it gives  ‘that plumped’ look of a gel polish. I was surprised at how quick and easy it is to remove it too, just use a regular polish remover, there’s virtually no mess, it just wipes straight off! Honestly I can’t rave about this enough! At a cost of only £5.99 each, around half the price per bottle of other leading brands, these are definitely worth a try if you love that glam’ gel nail look. I know I do!

As for durability I found the polish resisted chips pretty well. (I didn’t need to use a top coat) the polish kept its shine and remained looking gorgeous until I wanted to try a different shade! If you want beautiful true gel  effect nails without the hassle, these are for you! No nasties, cruelty free and vegan, this British brand is a force to be reackoned with.

I definitely need to try these! Your nails look amazing by the way! Loving all of these shades so I might have to get something like City Girl as it’s totally the opposite of what I’d usually buy (pink!) 😛 Great post x

City Girl is from the Grey/lilac family so it kind of fits with whatever you’re wearing. It’s a gorgeous colour.

Nothing wrong with pink! That’s pretty much my go-to but sometimes I like to try something radical 😂 Thanks for reading lovely! Xx

Pink is unfortunately my go to go to go to which is why I have over 30 pinks in my draw! A grey/lilac would be a welcome addition! Haha x
