I’m back talking about Palmer’s again today and I have two products to tell you about. Both from the Cocoa Butter Formula Range.
If you follow my blog or my social media, you’ll know I love using oils, particularly for my face. I just feel the benefits far outway using cream products. That’s not to say I don’t use creams as of course, I do; I just love to spend a couple of minutes massaging oil into my skin, as not only do I get the benefit from the oil but also a little massaging boosts circulation and helps me to wake up with great skin!
Palmer’s say: New and improved facial range for beautiful skin, with a range of seven caring cocoa butter infused products for a complete natural skin care regime. At the heart of this range are the powerful properties of cocoa butter – nature’s super beauty ingredient, as we like to call it. Ethically and sustainably sourced cocoa butter is naturally packed with powerful antioxidants such as polyphenols and nourishing vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, C and E.
This perfect combination of natural goodness makes cocoa butter the ideal natural ingredient for beautiful and healthy-looking skin.
In addition to cocoa butter, Palmer’s has also included a bevvy of other carefully selected natural ingredients such as aloe, evening primrose and botanical oils. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Facial Range is MI free, paraben-free, phthalate-free and dermatologist tested and suitable for sensitive skin.
This luxurious facial cleansing oil emulsifies into a light foam to effectively wash away impurities, dirt and make-up. This innovative luxury cleanser is formulated with eight botanical pure oils to naturally protect and leave skin feeling clean, fresh and hydrated, whilst maintaining skin’s moisture balance. This is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, non-comedogenic and safe for sensitive skin.
I’ve used facial washes before, of course, but never an oil cleansing wash so I was intrigued to see how I would get along with this.
I tend to use a micellar-water type cleanser but only for the speed factor. That said, this is actually a much speedier method and you can’t beat a good wash and a splash of cool water to really refresh and revitalise the skin, especially in the mornings. The packaging has clear instruction for use and lots of information regarding the ingredients. The pump head locks easily making it great for travel.
I do have drier skin and I’m prone to small dry patchy areas on my face, so I was hopeful this cleanser being oil based would be gentle and help keep my skin hydrated. To use, I wetted my hands and used a couple of pumps. The cleanser is quite liquid initially but quickly emulsifies on contact with water to become a lovely light foam consistency; yet retaining the oil feel so you know it’s hydrating.
This cleanser is mild enough and suitable for removing eye make up too which makes it easy to use all over your face without worrying about contact with the eyes. Gladly, it didn’t leave my eyes irritated at all. It rinsed away with no problem and left my skin feeling really clean, fresh and soft. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this, my dry patchy areas have really improved since I began using this cleanser which for me, is fantastic! I would definitely repurchase and highly recommend it!
Palmer’s Multi-Effect Skin Perfecting Facial Oil
Voted Australia’s Product of the Year 2015, this multi-effect, perfecting facial oil, can solve all your skin care needs in one go; from moisturising and perfecting through to anti-ageing. Packed with nine pure oils including argan, macadamia, apricot, passionfruit, sunflower seed, coconut, sweet almond, sesame and grapeseed oils which work together to create a powerful formula to perfect, and nourish skin to the fullest. This luxurious facial oil also contains retinol and resveratrol – a natural anti-oxidant found within the skin of grapes with powerful anti-ageing benefits. Retinol helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
Oils are my thing, so I was excited to try the Perfecting Oil
The bottle is glass, and I really like the pipette style dropper as this saves the mess and makes it easy to use just the right amount. Personally, I prefer to use a facial oil at bedtime, I keep it on my bedside table and apply the oil when I’m actually in bed. I gently massage a few drops into my face and neck, steering clear of my eye area. I find this quite therapeutic. That’s just me, you can use this oil whenever you like and if you feel the need for extra nourishment you can follow with Palmer’s day or night cream. On waking, my skin feels smooth and hydrated.
This oil may help to reduce fine lines (I have a few, don’t we all)? I’m starting to see a general improvement in my skin tone from using this oil in combination with the cleansing oil, a double whammy of oil can only be a good thing! I will continue to use this and would recommend trying it, if like me, you love using oils, or, if this is something new to you, you might be surprised at how good it feels! These products are reasonably priced and widely available making them well worth a try!
Both of these products have that Cocoa Butter Formula ‘chocolatey’ scent which we all know and love, making them all the more enjoyable to use.

These sound amazing! I’ve only just started using oils in my routine and love an oil cleanser. Now we’re going into summer I might try a different one as I’m not sure how my skin will cope so oils might only work for me in the winter as I’m oily/combo. Great post and love your photography xx

Ah yes you have combo skin, might be a Oil overload for you! Perhaps just try the cleanser as it only lightly hydrates. Thanks so much for reading lovely lady ??
Sounds like very good products. I like cleansing oil because of my dry skin. It melts away makeup and leaves the skin clean and non-drying. Thanks for the review!

You too lovely! Thanks again xx
I love Palmer’s Products! A few years back I dropped about 30 lbs. and their skin-firming/stretch mark cream was absolutely amazing. I’ll have to be on the lookout for the products you’ve mentioned- if they work just as well as that cream than I’m sold! (And they’re not even paying me to say this!) I’m somewhat beauty-challenged so I’m excited to read and learn more from your blog. 🙂
