Deciem The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA

Have you missed the hype surrounding DECIEM The Ordinary? I was eager to try it following all the good things I’d heard.

I must say, so far it’s living up to its reputation. I’ve been trying this moisturiser for at least four weeks now so that I can give a fair review and share my first impressions. I’m a die-hard Ultrasun Face user so it’d have to take a pretty good cream to sway me from that. I’ve tried a few others along the way and always drifted back to my usual SPF mainly for the fast-absorbing once-a-day formula. However, I’m able to layer the two and this works well as I’m not about to give up sunscreen!

The packaging is smart and unobtrusive. However, I’m usually drawn to feminine packaging and as ridiculous as it sounds, the packaging, one way or the other, could be a deal-breaker for me but I quite like The Ordinary’s no-nonsense, appeal.

Deciem The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA The Beauty Spyglass review

DECIEM claims Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. NMF is formulated with multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin.

The cream itself is quite a thick consistency.

Non-greasy, white in colour and no fragrance detected. It contains lots of hard-working ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, phospholipids plus eleven amino acids so let’s see if the results match up. It smoothes on really well and sinks in quite quickly. leaving a good base for makeup. I follow with my usual Ultrasun product and a tinted moisturiser, this works well and I’ve not experienced any roll-off, or other issues.

I actually found good hydration to my skin and really enjoy using this cream, I’ve yet to see any long-term effects as continued use is key.

The Ordinary has had so much attention from the beauty industry and since its launch in 2016 has become a bloggers favourite. Gaining ground on premium brands who charge the earth for a similar product. The Ordinary, however, is being touted as a beauty revolution by the Guardian and Rightly so, with all the hype you really need to try this range or you’re you’re seriously missing out! More appealing is the unusually inexpensive price point and a vast array of products available from serums, facial acids to foundations in all manner of shades. With quality ingredients to boot, this brand is surely a game-changer. My Natural Moisturising Factors here is 30ml RRP of £4.99 so it really isn’t going to break the bank. Purchase yours from Victoria Health or Feel Unique.
