Bronzer, we all own one but how hard is it to find ‘the one’ It’s a ‘no thank you’ to chunky sparkles or shimmer so that limits my choice right off the bat. I scrootenise the pan looking for any glints and immediately return it to the shelf should any be seen. For me personally, I prefer a matte finish bronzer so Here’s my most reached for of all time.

I find a mineral type bronzer less drying on my skin and I find it gives a more natural finish. I like the way I can build the colour (more buffing – more colour). I also love that these bronzers give a golden tone to the skin, no orange base colour. In particular, the “Skinny Dip” which is what I’m currently using. It’s perfect for my pale skin and doesn’t look too overdone. I’m on my third repurchase as I use this bronzer literally every day, all year round and so I do get through it.

Previously, I used Bare Minerals “Faux Tan” loose mineral all over face colour which comes in a twist and lock pot. This is equally good in terms of colour but I tend to stick with the Ready version these days as I just find it quicker and easier to use and a little less messy. As soon as the ‘Ready’ range appeared I was hooked straight away.

I apply my bronzer only where the sun would naturally hit my face – sweep it across my forehead, bridge of my nose, cheek bones and little on my chin. Bare minerals recommend applying it in a ‘3’ shape motion, starting at the temple, sweep it along the cheek bone and along the jaw line. This works pretty well too.

It applies well and the colour is perfect for my paler skin tone. It has good staying power and there’s also the added benefit of the bronzer being SPF20 which is always a plus.

If you haven’t tried Bare Minerals I would recommend trying the Ready bronzer range as I always have great results with them.

RRP £24 from several retailers, including QVC or directly from Bare Minerals

This sounds like a great bronzer and I’ve not seen another one that has an SPF! I might have to give this a try when mine runs out x
