Beauty | NYX Wonder Pencil

NYX wonder pencils

As soon as I set eyes on these NYX Wonder Pencils I had to have them.

I purchased the light and the medium shade as Some days I use more bronzer or will have used a faux tan product and this way I have both shades to match in with my skin tone. I love the way I can use the teeniest tiniest dot to conceal or hide a tiny imperfection.

NYX says: The essential pencil that fulfils all of your beauty desires. Conquer 3 critical make-up tasks with one product: CONCEAL flaws and blemishes with creamy precision; LINE your lips against lipstick bleeding and fading, and BRIGHTEN your eyes along the water line. Will wonders never cease? Not with the Wonder Pencil in your bag!

Initially, I was looking for a product which I could use to brighten up the waterline of my eyes as this makes me look more awake plus it evens out any redness there and just gives a cleaner and more youthful look to the eyes which is always a good thing! I use the Lighter pencil for this purpose but this is just my personal choice.

I line my waterline and take it into the inner corners to lighten that area, I then blend it out with a cotton bud.

I also use both this or the Hydra brightener across my eyelids lightly and again blend with a clean cotton bud as for me this neutralises any redness or uneven tone and is also a good base for eyeshadow or even just wear it as it is. The formula is creamy and blends easily. If I’ve blended it across my lids I never have a problem with it creasing at all and it stays put.

As with all NYX makeup, it’s very reasonably priced, the RRP for the Wonder pencil is around £4.50 and is available in three shades, light, medium and deep.

NYX say: Leave your complexion with a soft wash of color using the Hydra Touch Brightener. This water-based crayon instantly illuminates while giving off a cooling sensation upon contact with skin.

If I’m honest, I don’t tend to use huge amounts of concealer day-to-day, but I do like to brighten up areas of my face which I feel need may need it.

This is where the Hydra Touch Brightening Crayon comes in. It’s a water based crayon, and is very different with its lovely cooling sensation, making it perfect for the eye area. I also use it as a highlighter across my cheek bones, inner corners of my eyes or anywhere that needs a bit of a lift. It’s smooth to apply, blends well and again I find it stays put.

Available in three shades: Radiance, Glow (My choice) and Luminous
