Beauty | RougeDior lipstick Swan 263

When it comes to lips, I’m a real sucker for Christian Dior. Gazing at all the goodies in their beautiful packaging at the beauty counter is like being a child in a sweet shop.

I wore  this particular Rouge Dior lipstick in the shade Swan 263 on my wedding day, it’s a gorgeous nude pink, (very much paler than my image here). Perfect for brides, as it just gives a subtle touch of nude pink without being too overpowering. Its a really creamy formula and feels hydrating on my lips without being drying at all.

I used it all up and repurchased as I love the colour – being a nude it just goes with everything. Plus, every time I apply it, it’s a little reminder of my special day. I’ve still got the one I used for my wedding as I can’t bear to part with it, even though its completely empty.

One thing I would mention is that the although the formula is creamy, if you’re not careful with the bullet, you’ll find it quickly becomes very messy and as a result doesn’t twist up (or down) properly and may even break off.

This has happened to mine on both occasions, not to start with but overtime and with use, it loses it’s shape and becomes quite difficult to use. For this reason I have decided not to repurchase a third time. Plus, I’m leaning towards conscious beauty and so I’m more likely to buy cruelty-free makeup and skincare products going forward.

What’s your favourite Dior Lip product? Have you tried this range How do you feel about Dior being a cruelty brand, would this affect your next purchase?
